May, 19-20
On May 19-20, 2009 the Novosibirsk City CCI received a business mission from the North Kazakhstan region in Novosibirsk.
The members of Kazakh delegation were representatives of 10 enterprises of the following spheres: mechanical engineering, construction, hotel business, public catering, production of boiler equipment, insulating materials, heat and power engineering, drinking water, etc. The mission was headed by the chairman of the North Kazakhstan CCI Nelly Kukushkina.
Within the structure of the trade turnover of the Novosibirsk region with CIS countries over 44 per cent fall on the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is the second largest buyer of our region.
Business talk between Kazakh and Novosibirsk business became the central event of the visit. From the Novosibirsk side over 60 enterprises, scientific, innovative, planning organizations took part in negotiations. Totally there were more than 120 business meetings. By preliminary estimates over 82 per cent of participants managed to find trade partners for their ompanies.

May, 3-9
On May 3-9, 2009 the Novosibirsk delegation headed by the Governor of the region Victor Tolokonsky paid an official visit to the Swiss Confederation. The NC CCI was represented by its vice-president Tatyana Bernadskaya.
One was the most important goal of the visit was to hold a presentation of trade, research and investment potential of the Novosibirsk region, which took place at the government of the canton of Zurich.
Nowdays the part of Switzerland in foreign trade turnover of the Novosibirsk region remains minor and amounts under 1 per cent. So it’s necessary to stir up bilateral cooperation in all spheres of economy.
Within the framework of the visit the parties signed a joint declaration on principles of cooperation between the canton of Zurich and the Novosibirsk region. The members of Novosibirsk delegation held individual business talks with their Swiss partners, visited two large Swiss enterprises.
The results of business talks of Novosibrsk and Swiss businessmen say about good perspectives in the development of long-term partnership, the strengthening of trade contacts and the effectiveness of business projects.

March, 4 On March 4, 2009 the Siberian entrepreneurs and the French company Leroy Merlin had a cooperation exchange. The event was organized by the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Graduates of the President’s program “Leader-Resource” and Logic Tour Co Ltd.
More than 100 Novosibirsk companies participated in the cooperation exchange. Among them are producers of construction materials, water systems, millwork, electrical products, floor covering, colors, etc. and companies providing associated services.
In the opinion of representatives of the Novosibirsk business circles this form of organization of business contacts with foreign companies will considerably enliven perspective sectors of the Siberian economy.

December, 2-8
On December, 2-8, 2008 a delegation from Novosibirsk paid a business visit to Malaysia. Within the framework of the visit the most perspective innovative projects of the Novosibirsk region were presented; the members of the delegation had business meetings in the Trade Mission of Russia in Malaysia, in the Malay Agency of Industrial Development. Directors and top managers of 20 Novosibirsk companies and about 100 representatives of Malay companies took part in the activities. The Novosibirsk delegation also visited the Techno-city and the free economic zone.

September, 11
On September, 11, 2008 the President of the NC CCI Yury
Bernadsky and the President of the Association of Building
Companies of the Novosibirsk region Konstantin Bokov met with
a delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria headed by the governor of
Shumen region Mr. Todor Todorov.
The Bulgarian part was represented by the officials, top managers of
the Bulgarian building companies, architects, economists.
One of the key questions of the discussion during the meeting was
the preparation for the Days of Bulgaria in Novosibirsk, which will
take place in April, 2009 and will be organized by the Novosibirsk
City CCI and the Embassy of Bulgaria. In addition, the parties
discussed the possibility of establishing business connections with
Novosibirsk entrepreneurs.
Though nowadays the commodity turnover between the Republic of
Bulgaria and the Novosibirsk region is small ($ 94,6 mln. in 2007),
the parties agreed that there is a great potential for trade
cooperation. The foreign trade turnover of the Novosibirsk region
with Bulgaria mostly consists of export deliveries of the
Novosibirsk companies (machines, graphite , cosmetics),
export-import of tourist services.
The Bulgarian guests invited the Novosibirsk entrepreneurs to
Bulgaria for establishing and running a business: there are
favorable conditions for investors on the territory of the republic.

July, 10-12
On July, 10-12, 2008, the Days of the Chinese province
Jilin took place in Novosibirsk.
The event was organized by the NC CCI, the administration of the
region and the Department of Commerce of the city of Changchun of
Jilin, China.
About 70 officials and top managers of the Chinese companies paid
their visit to Novosibirsk. The delegation was headed by
Vice-Governor of the province Mr. Chan Vejzheng.
On July, 11 an official opening ceremony of the Days of the
Chinese province Jilin was begun by the President of the NC CCI Yury
Bernadsky. Mr. Chan Vejzheng told about the main perspectives of
development of Jilin. The Chinese part demonstrated a film on
investment climate and economic potential of the province. The
Novosibirsk region was represented by the Vice-Governor of the
region V.A.Nikonov.
Within the framework of the event the Novosibirsk City CCI and the
Department of Commerce of the city of Changchun signed a mutual
cooperation agreement.
After the presentation the Siberian and Chinese businessmen had a
possibility to have individual talks. From the Chinese part 14
companies participated in business meetings. There were companies
dealing with building, production of trucks, cars, wood-processing,
etc.
The Russian part was represented by over 50 large companies from
Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetzk. Totally more than 140 business
meetings were held and more than a half of them proved to be
productive.

July, 8-14
On July, 8-14, 2008 a delegation of the Novosibirsk region
headed by the Governor Viktor Tolokonsky visited the Italian
Republic by the invitation of the Trade Cooperation Department of
the Foreign Trade Institute of Italy.
The delegation consisted of officials and top managers of 20 large
enterprises of Novosibirsk. The Novosibirsk City CCI was represented
by the Chairman of NC CCI Directorate Vladimir Zhenov.
During the visit there was a presentation of the Novosibirsk region
in the Trade Cooperation Department of the Italian Embassy. More
then 100 Italian companies took part in the presentation. After the
presentation the Novosibirsk and Italian businessmen had individual
talks.
The delegation visited several Italian enterprises dealing with
wood-processing and agrotourism. On July, 11 our delegation met with
the Government of Lombardy.
The visit allowed the Novosibirsk and Italian entrepreneurs to build
direct mutually beneficial contacts which will lead to the
realization of joint projects in the future.

April, 4-13
On April, 4-13, 2008 a business delegation from
Novosibirsk headed by the president of the Novosibirsk City Chamber
of Commerce and Industry Yury Bernadsky paid its visit to Australia.
The business trip was organized by the NC CCI and the Guild of
developers of Siberia. The delegation consisted of 16 heads of the
leading construction, industrial, financial companies, educational
institutions and officials.
The members of the delegation had the aim to get acquainted with
the government system of SME’s support, the specifics of doing
business in Australia, new technologies of building construction and
educational projects.
The visit was rich with business meetings which were held at the
Department of State and Regional Development of New Wales, in the
Technopark of Sydney and the Sydney University.

September, 16-18
On September, 16-18, 2007 a business delegation from the federal
land Lower Saxony (Germany) paid its visit to Novosibirsk. The
delegation was headed by the Minister of Economy, Labor and
Transport of Lower Saxony Mr. Walter Hirche.
The guests form Germany met with the Plenipotentiary
Representative of the President in the Siberian Federal District
A.V. Kvashnin, the Governor of the Novosibirsk region V.A.
Tolokonsky, the Mayor of Novosibirsk V.Gorodezky. They visited
Akademgorodok, met with direction and students of the Siberian State
University of Telecommunication and Informatics.
Opening the Days of Economy of Lower Saxony the 1st Deputy of the
Governor V.A. Yurchenko spoke about the economy of our region, the
most important investment projects and about the creation of
IT-technopark.
In his turn Mr. Hirche introduced the economy of Lower Saxony,
the land is situated in the center of Europe on the crossing of
major transport lines. Its economic potential encloses natural
resources (halite, oil, gas, coal, ironstone, etc.). The most
significant industries are automobile building (plants of the world
famous Volkswagen), shipbuilding and fishing.
The head of the German delegation announced that top priorities
of bilateral cooperation, to his mind, are logistics, machine
building and construction. According to his words, the German
companies are also interested in building of Technopark in
Akakdemgorodok.
The culmination of the event was the ceremony of signing of
Memorandum of Cooperation between the Novosibirsk region and Lower
Saxony.
The Russian-German business forum organized by the Novosibirsk
City Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the
visit has gathered 11 representatives of the German business circles
and over 90 directors and top managers of the Novosibirsk companies.
The German party was represented by the companies of different
spheres: construction, consulting, telecommunications, education,
transport services, production of industrial transport and trucks,
production of building materials, etc. The Russian party was
represented by major companies of the city such as CJSC “PSK Plant”,
OJSC “Novosibirsk poultry farm”, OJSC “Novosibirskgrazhdanproekt”,
OJSC “Glavnovosibirskstroy”, Group of Companies “Profil”, OJSC “RINET”,
“Vork Center” Co. Ltd., OJSC Firm “Gornyak”, OJSC Plant “Sibselmash-Spetstehnika”,
the Siberian Academy of Civil Service, the Novosibirsk State
Technical University, etc.
The Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry summarized
the results of business talks: there were over 150 business meetings,
about 90 per cent of them proved to be effective.
Most participants of business forum expressed their sureness that
this event would allow to strengthen the German-Russian economic
relationships and would give the impetus to signing of new
agreements, contracts and to realization of new investment projects.
